DEL RIO – THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS) is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on July 20, 2023, at approximately 1:11 p.m., on FM 334 approximately 10 miles east of Bracketville in Kinney County. Preliminary investigation revealed a 1989 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling westbound on FM 334. The Chevrolet pickup truck drove off the roadway. The driver over corrected and struck a dirt embankment.
The Chevrolet rolled over and came to rest facing east. Due to injuries sustained, the driver of the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, Norman John Luna, 51, from Bracketville Tx, was pronounced deceased on scene. DPS Troopers continue to investigate this fatal crash.
