The Uvalde CISD School Board voted to hire Josh Gutierrez as the district’s new Interim Police Chief as Interim Superintendent Gary Patterson presented as the recommended candidate.
“I feel fortunate to be able to recommend Josh. He can see things from a teacher’s perspective. He’s taught criminal justice,” Patterson said.
“Josh will be answering directly to the superintendent. Our board is fully aware how careful we must be. Josh wants to be here,” said Patterson
The Board members voted to approve Gutierrez with JJ Suarez abstaining . Josh pictured with wife Ann Marie .
