City looks to change the Civic Center’s electioneering rules at tonight’s City Council meeting (Tuesday, June 25th, 2024)

City to discuss having fewer or no campaign signs as well as parking changes outside of the Ssgt. Willie de Leon Civic Center

  The City of Uvalde City Council is scheduled to meet today, Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 at 6 PM on the 2nd floor of the Uvalde County Courthouse.

  One of the agenda items include amending the City’s electioneering rules governing the Ssgt. Willie De Leon Civic Center. The proposed changes include:

Updating the rules of electioneering at the SSgt. Willie de Leon Civic Center. There are some
updated name changes and some rules. Other changes to consider revising and adding are:
1. Parking areas.
2. Either no signage or reducing the amount and size of signage.
3. Not allowing large vehicles, RVs, trailers in the parking area during electioneering.
