Texas Texas Rangers are investigating the death of Regina Santos Avilas who passed away on Sunday,September 14th, 2025 Avilas was the regional staffer for U.S.Representative District 23 Tony Gonzales.
According to a report fro. The Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department obtained from
News 4 San Antonio.it states:
“ From UVFD
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 9:39 p.m., the Uvalde Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a female on fire in the 200 block of Geraldine. While en route, dispatch informed the fire department to cancel the call, stating that the female was no longer on fire. Nevertheless, the fire department chose to proceed to the location. Upon arrival, we discovered EMS personnel attending to the woman in the front yard, who had sustained severe burns.”
Prior to Aviles working as Gonzales regional staffer, Aviles served as thr Uvalde Chamber of Commerce Director.
