Rainfall didn’t drive away the crowds of people who attended Community Health Development Inc. and Equity Health Foundation 4th Annual Healthy Fall Festival and Turkey Giveaway earlier today at CHDI’s new clinic on Ham Lane.
According the CHDI CEO Mayela Castanon, some people used plastic bags to cover their heads as the heavy rain fell for a time as the event was underway.
” This free, family-friendly event will provide essential
health services, food distribution, and community resources to support local families—many of whom continue to face significant challenges including food insecurity, rising costs, and limited access to healthcare,” Leon said in an email to the Uvalde Hesperian.
