  With music rooted in Texas Alt Rock and Americana, Singer Songwriter Dave Christen is actively releasing his original music work as singles on all of the popular music streaming platforms. Dave is in his own lane authentic and true to his love of and performing music. He writes and tells stories about life in ways that connect with everyone. You will find some acoustic exploration in his discography.

  Recent releases under the Rambler Radio Productions banner include musically diverse songs “Another Day Is Gone,” “Right here Right Now” “Cristina,” “You And I,” “Be Right Here,” “Something Called Love,” are now followed up with the new releases, “Gets Me Where I’m Going” and “Lost Highway.”

  Guitarist, Producer, Don Dean Maracle defined each of the songs arrangement and direction as well as contributed memorable guitar melodies. His credits include Major Label Mercury Records, The International House of Blues Foundation and an inductee of The Rochester Music Hall Of Fame.

December 14th at 7 p.m. Toni Kay Hull will present the annual Music on Main Christmas Spectacular! Emcee Carolyn Lampe will introduce musicians and their selections including Darrell Zimmerman, the Fenceposts (Ken Rutherford, Bob and Mike Huddleston), Luke Williams on saxophone, Dave and Paula Seydel singing “Silver Bells”, Vince DiPiazza and Nathan Lafrenz “Nutcracker”.

Others featured are soloist Valerie Redus. the Dolce String Quartet with Gary and Christina Ford, Nathan Lafrenz and Vince DiPiazza. Camille Sanders Jeffcoat, Greg Knapp, Paulo and Miata Viana, Julia Thomas and Michael Robinson “Baby It’s Cold Outside”, Olgui Urso “Ave Maria”, Jim Gerrish and Art Sutton, Karl and Stephanie Gager “Happy Birthday to Our Lord”, Jim Woodward, Charla Jenkins and the Beach Boys and Katie Cabralez with Pedro Luna on Guitar. Selections will include standards bound to put you in the spirit of a joyous Christmas.

The event is free and open to the general public with a suggested $25 donation for those who wish to contribute as a library benefit. Chili Peppers Kilene Sweeten, Dorz Cruz, Barabar Blair and Brenda McCullough will assist with greeting and refreshments.

Songs of worship and praise were lifted up Friday night at the Civic Center by believers from many churches to pray for Uvalde and it’s leaders, schools and children. The atmosphere was filled with passionate praise with many lifting up hands in praise to God.

During the time of prayer, many kneeled in prayer asking for God’s Holy Spirit to bless Uvalde and bring a Spirit of Healing and Hope to the community.

Love is in the air at El Progreso Memorial Library! Toni K. Hull will play piano accompaniment for Sara Hensarling Tafolla, Valeri Redus, Linda and Carlos Koehl, The Memories, Karl Gager, Rene Ford, Darrell Zimmerman, Jim Gerrish, Camille Sanders the Uvalde Beach Boys and the Dolce String Quartet on such selections as “I Wish You Love”, “La Paloma”, “Elvira”, “Someone to Watch Over Me”, “It Had to be You”. The concert starting at 7 p.m. is free and open to the public, but donations are always welcome (suggested $25).

The 2022 Music on Main Christmas Spectacular will be offered at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13th in the library rotunda. Yolanda Bird will emcee this wonderful evening of live music featuring Toni Kay Hull, Darrell Zimmerman, Jim Gerrish, Valerie Redus, the Uvalde Beach Boys (Greg Knapp, Paul Kimble, Steve Cox and Nathan Larenz), Vince DiPiazza, Anna Lafrenz, Karl Gager, Olgi Urso, Rene Ford, Sara Hensarling Tafolla, Gary and Christiana Horn. Among selections will be “What Child Is This?”, “I Saw Three Ships”, “Litle Drummer Boy”, “Merry Christmas Darling”, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, “Ave Maria”, “Rudolph”, “Go Tell it on the Mountain”, “Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas”, “Santa Baby” and an audience sing-a-long.

The Uvalde Downtown area was crowded with shoppers Friday, December 9th for Four Square Friday event. Business owners offered refreshments and beverages to shoppers. Live music was on hand outside of a couple of businesses and store windows were ornately decked with sparkling lights and Christmas decorations.
