This airplane tail section might look like something from a crash site but its just part of an old commercial aircraft that has been salvaged.

Sometimes the best stories are ones told with pictures. Here are a few of the interesting photos the Uvalde Hesperian have taken in Uvalde, Uvalde County and the surrounding area.

Over in nearby Hondo, there is a company called Hondo Aerospace located near the Hondo Regional Airport that is in the business of buying old commercial jet aircraft and salvaging them for parts. The airframes can be seen from Spatz Road near the airport,

According to the Hondo Aerospace website under About Us, it reads:

The Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce has hired a new team to lead its organization.  Jena Prevo has recently begun her new job as Executive Director of the Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce along with

Caroline Lee who has also come on board. Lee was hired as the organization’s new Marketing Director.

On Tuesday,  March 21st, the Chamber held a Farewell and Welcome event for members to attend as the previous Executive Director Roxanne Carter and Marketing Specialist / Office Manager Art Resendez were leaving the organization and Prevo and Lee would be joining to serve as the organization’s new executive team.

The Hondo Area Chamber of Commerce said in a Facebook post last week, ” Roxanne (on the right) and Art (on the left) want to wish all of our members and supporters a final goodbye as they leave the Chamber and as the new team begins their Chamber journey all on their own starting next week. We wish Art and Roxanne the best on both of their new journeys and we’re also so excited to introduce you to the new staff next week.”
