Beloved wife, mother, grandmother,
sister & aunt.

Mary Elizondo, 78, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on June 14, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Raymondville Texas to Anita Martinez, Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith.

In 1974, both Arturo & Mary dedicated their lives together to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mary was an active member of the Uvalde congregation and regularly participated in the ministry, sharing Bible truths and offering comfort from the Scriptures.

Mary held firm faith in the Bible’s promise of a resurrection and looked forward to the time when she would be reunited with her loved ones in a paradise earth.

Mary’s life was a testament to her unwavering faith in Jehovah. No matter the trials she faced, she leaned on him for strength, comfort, and guidance. Her favo rite scripture, Isaiah 41:10, beautifully reflected her spirit: “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.” This promise was her anchor, and through it, she found the strength to carry on with devotion.
