A book about the life of Miracle, a therapy dog who visited Uvalde twice following the Robb School Tragedy, will be read aloud at the El Progreso Memorial Library on Friday, August 15th at 5:30 PM and on Saturday, August 16th at 10AM and again at 2 PM by the book’s author Kathy Schendt.
This new book has been published following the recent passing of the dog Miracle.
” My wife, Kathy Schendt, has written a children’s book about the life and journey of our recently passed Therapy Dog, Miracle (Francis’ Miracle). The journey includes two trips to Uvalde — one during the first week of school 2022 and the other during the last week of school in 2023.
We are returning to Uvalde for a book sale and signing at El Progreso Library on Friday, August 15th from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM and also Saturday, August 16th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Kathy will read the book at 5;30 p.m. on Friday and again at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.  All proceeds from the sale that weekend will go to the library.
The book ‘Gifts Are Meant To Be Shared‘ can be purchased on Amazon, but we will have a LIMITED SUPPLY of both hardcover and softcover editions available at $20.00 and $12.00, respectively. Sales are CASH ONLY (no checks or credit cards and exact charge is appreciated). We are looking forward to seeing many people to help support Francis’ Miracle favorite library in Texas,”  William Schendt, husband of the author Kathy Schendt wrote.
