  Uvalde High School proudly announces that Victoria Rodriguez has placed in the top 10 in the Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) State Competition. Under the skilled guidance of Uvalde High School Teacher Erin Sutton, Victoria excelled in the Interactive Bulletin Board category. She stood out among more than 400 entries across the state in the TAFE Interactive Bulletin Board contest.

  This remarkable achievement earned Victoria a coveted spot at the Educators Rising National Conference, which will be held in Orlando, Florida, from June 26 to 29, 2025. This national event is a prestigious platform for students from across the country to showcase their talents and skills in education.

  The competition occurred during the TAFE Teach Tomorrow Summit at Moody Gardens, Galveston, TX, from February 17 to 19, 2025. The summit brought together over 3,400 students with a shared passion for education, offering them the chance to network, learn about college success, and acquire skills essential for a career in teaching.

  Victoria’s achievement is a testament to her hard work, creativity, and dedication to the field of education. It also highlights Uvalde High School’s supportive and nurturing environment and dedicated mentors and teachers like Erin Sutton.

“When Victoria exited the competition the first thing she said was, “I just did so good!” She was so confident and ready! When I announced to her that she advanced to nationals she was speechless!
