If you couldn’t attend this week’s Uvalde County Commissioner’s Court meeting and the Uvalde City Council meeting and you were planning on watching these local government proceedings via their respective live stream videos, you were likely out of luck.
Audio feeds from both the City and the County meetings were set at an extremely low setting or the camera’s microphones were off entirely.
For a brief period on tonight’s Tuesday, May 13th, 2025 Uvalde City Council meeting the volume was adjusted so one could hear a presentation made by Marisa Yvette Utley, the President of Lone Star Strategy Group, LLC on a grant submitted on behalf of the City to U.S. Congressman Tony Gonzales for an earmark grant with a deadline of Wednesday, May 14th, 2025.
Following Utley’s presentation, the audio from the livestream went back down to a very low level.
The Uvalde Hesperian has submitted emails to both Uvalde County Judge William “Bill” Mitchell and City of Uvalde Mayor Hector Luevano and City Manager Vince DiPiazza on the problems and have requested a response.
