Armando Gonzalez Jr., born November 30, 1971, in Sonora, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was the beloved son of Enriqueta Gonzales and the late Armando C. Gonzalez.
Armando worked as a dedicated sheep shearer, a profession he took great pride in, contributing his hard work to the community. He had a special place in his heart for family, and was known for his love of family gatherings, where his warmth and kindness shone.
Armando is survived by his mother, Enriqueta Gonzales, daughter Adonica Garcia of Sterling City, five grandchildren, his sister Diane Gonzales, and his brother Sammy Arebalos. He is also survived by his nephew Jesse R. Martinez III, nieces Annette L. Martinez, Alexis B. Hernandez, as well as nephews Eulalio Garza, Christopher Garza, and nieces Abigail Garza.
He was preceded in death by his father, Armando C. Gonzalez, his brother Eulalio Garza, and his nephews Andrew R. Martinez and Michael A. Martinez. Also preceding him were his maternal grandparents, Juan Garza and Conception R. Garza, and paternal grandparents Lupe Gonzales and Maria Inez Cordova.
Armando’s legacy will live on through the many lives he touched, especially within his family, and his memory will always be cherished. May he rest in peace.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 2:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home, Chapel of Serenity, a Rosary will take place at 7:00 P.M.
