March is a transition month as the annual ti-Saving Time change occurs early in the morning on Sunday, March 10th and also a transition from Winter to Spring with the First Day of Spring falls on Monday, March 17th,2025.
Spring break week for Uvalde CISD students will actually be in the first week of Spring and not the last week of winter.
Some notable events for this month are the 3rd Annual EVA Strong Run occurring on Saturday, March 16th, 2025 starting at 8AM on the 100 block of Nopal Street in Downtown Uvalde.

The Herby Ham Activity Center will be holding Gospel Night Out on Saturday, March 16th at 7 PM.
Spring Break Week has a lot of activities and events. The El Progreso Memorial Library will be holding daily activities during the week of March 17th through March 21st.
Up in Concan, House Pasture will be holding live music featuring country music artists: Carson Jeffery on Friday, March 21st and William Clark Green on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025.
Also in Concan, Joe Jimmy’s will have several events prior to the House Pasture concerts.
On Thursday, March 27th, The Governor’s Small Business Summit will be held at the Ssgt Willie de Leon Civic Center. Pre-registration and tickets here.
The Governor’s Small Business Summit — Uvalde aims to help Texas small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs reach new heights by connecting them with the resources and information needed to start, strengthen and grow a business. This event offers a variety of sessions bringing together local, state and federal resource partners to provide key insights on critical business topics. It’s also an opportunity to network with other business owners and meet experts who will share timely, relevant and actionable advice on a multitude of small business subjects.
