SWTX Faculty Member Named to State Radiologic Technology Board

  Southwest Texas College (SWTX) proudly announces that Bonnie Clinebell-Esquivel, a distinguished faculty member, has been appointed as the Area Counselor for the South Texas Border region by the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists (TSRT). This prestigious role places Clinebell-Esquivel on the TSRT Executive Board as a non-voting member and includes a position on the nominating committee, amplifying her influence in shaping the future of radiologic science across Texas.

  In her new role, Clinebell-Esquivel will serve as a vital link between the TSRT and regional radiologic technology societies, fostering communication and collaboration. She will be responsible for maintaining open channels with local societies in the South Texas Border region and will report regularly to TSRT, ensuring that local needs, achievements, and initiatives are well-represented on a statewide level.

  Reflecting on her appointment, Clinebell-Esquivel shared her enthusiasm, stating, “I am honored and excited to represent Southwest Texas College at the state society!”

About Bonnie Clinebell-Esquivel

  Clinebell-Esquivel brings an impressive educational and professional background to her new role. She holds an MS in Radiologic and Imaging Science/Education from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA; a BS in Medical Imaging from Clarkson College in Omaha, NE; an AS in Math, Science, and Technology from Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY; and a Radiologic Technology Certificate from CVPH Medical Center School of Radiologic Technology in Plattsburgh, NY, where she graduated as valedictorian.

  Her teaching career spans over 20 years, beginning at North Country Community College in Saranac Lake, NY, before joining SWTX in 2008. In addition to her academic contributions, Clinebell-Esquivel has substantial experience in the field as a Radiologic Technologist and Mammographer at Alice Hyde Medical Center and Plattsburgh Health Center in New York.

  Among her many accolades, she received the 2015 NISOD Excellence in Teaching Award and has been recognized for her academic achievements with awards from the Lambda Nu National Honor Society and Clarkson College.

Southwest Texas College congratulates Bonnie Clinebell-Esquivel on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to seeing the positive impact of her leadership within the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists.
