Sammie’s Toy Drive and a Free Magic Show
Sammie’s Toy Drive is bringing her second annual event to El Progreso Memorial Library on Saturday, October 26th from 4 – 7 p.m. There will be a toy giveaway, therapy dogs, fun and games for children. Joe Libby of San Antonio will present his Family Fun Magic Show at 5 p.m.
All activities are free.
Sammie Magee, an extraordinary teen from Louisburg, Kansas, will bring joy and excitement to Uvalde once again on October 26th at El Progreso Memorial Library. For more information and background about Sammie and her commitment to help, visit the Sammie’s Toy Drive website.
Mission of Sammie’s Toy Drive:
Sammie’s Toy Drive is a specialized toy drive for communities struck by tragedy affecting kids and teens. Instead of providing assistance to the community at ground zero, we deliver the items once people who were not affected have moved on. News patterns do not match with the stages of grief. Our goal is to bring joy and comfort to children who have gone through traumatic experiences and let them know that they are not forgotten.
