The Uvalde County Commissioners Court will meet on TUESDAY, October 15th at 10AM at the Commissioner’s Court Room on the 3rd floor of the Uvalde County Courthouse.

The agenda includes a resolution to support Texas Senate Bill 22: Rural Law Enforcement Grants
” Senate Bill (SB) 22 establishes a grant program that provides financial assistance to sheriff’s departments, constable’s offices and district and county attorney’s offices in eligible counties to ensure professional law enforcement and legal representation of the people’s interests throughout the state.
The law provides salary supplements for several positions in rural areas. Eligible counties were able to apply for grant funds in January, 2024, regardless of a particular county’s fiscal start-date. In future years, counties and prosecutor’s offices will apply online according to the start of their fiscal year.” (Source: www.comptroller texas.gov)
The Court will also consider and act on selecting two candidates to represent Uvalde County on the Uvalde County Appraisal District Board.
A presentation will be made by the major medical insurance agent of record.
The Court will also consider and act upon interlocal agreements for medical examiner services.
Also on the agenda, Commissioners will act on the award of bids for goods/services to be provided the County
