On Wednesday, I joined FOX News to discuss the Biden Administration’s disrespectful characterization of several veteran’s concerns, as well as the chaos caused by dangerous gangs like Tren de Aragua. Here are some highlights of the interview:
Gonzales Reacts to White House Official John Kirby Dismissing Veteran Concerns on the Withdrawal from Afghanistan:
“I served in Afghanistan– I served 5 years in Afghanistan before I retired as a Master Chief years later. I also attended earlier this week the Congressional Gold Medal ceremony and met with the [families of the 13 Americans killed at Abbey Gate]. And it was painful. So, to dismiss something like that in an email, as if it is just a few people, clearly they are disconnected. [For] anyone who served in Afghanistan, it is painful to this day. And it is absolutely wrong. They should not treat the families that way. They should not treat veterans that way. Show a little decency and show a little respect.”
Gonzales Reacts to a Hotel Overrun by Gang Activity in El Paso
“This is a real issue, and I remind the viewers I represent two-thirds of the Texas-Mexico border. 823 miles. So I’ve seen this border crisis morph into something else, and I’ve been sounding the alarm on TDA, [this] Venezuelan gang, for over a year…we finally got [TDA] labeled as a transnational-criminal organization. And now, we’re just now starting to go after some of these bad actors, but they’re already here. They’re already embedded. Not only in communities along the border, all throughout the country. And you know what, they’re making America less safe. That is the part where so many of my constituents have had enough. We have to get our country back. And the way we do it is we round up these people and we deport them.”
