Uvalde CISD is excited to announce our upcoming Title I Information Session and is seeking your support in building awareness within the community.
The event will take place on September 11 from 11:00 a.m. to Noon at El Progreso Memorial Library.
During this session, we will cover Title I, Part A—Improving Basic Programs, a key component of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015. This program provides supplemental funding to state and local educational agencies to enhance educational resources in schools serving high concentrations of students from low-income homes. These resources are critical in improving the quality of education and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to meet challenging state assessments.
We will discuss what these services look like at each campus, how parents and other stakeholders can contribute to these programs, and gather input on future parent and family engagement activities.
