A mid-day water line break has left many homes and businesses in Knippa without running water on a hot summer day. The Weather Channel reports the current temperature is reported to be 96 degrees.

A utility crew was seen moments ago  at the 200 block of Main Street in Knippa near the Jehovah Jireh Assemblies of God Church with heavy equipment dredging water from a hole.

The Uvalde Hesperian reached out to the Knippa Water Supply Corporation and a representative there said he did not have an estimated time for when the break would be repaired and water restored.

A person writing on a Knippa Community Facebook group stated they called the water supply company and reported they were told, “a major water line was hit, they said it would be a while (few hours).”
