Tri County CASA and the Bluebonnet Children’s Center are hosting this year’s Go Blue Day Festival on Wednesday, April 3rd from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Uvalde County Fairplex. The event is Free with child friendly games, prizes, music, food and more to help raise awareness of our mission.

The following press information was provided to the Uvalde Hesperian by event organizers:

“The event will be a community resource fair for Child Abuse Awareness month. All of our community partners will have booths with kid friendly activities or giveaways as well as materials for their community resource and what they can do to assist kids and families.

We will have hot dogs, chips and water for all attendees as well. EMS, FIRE and Local LE typically participate and have units on scene for families to interact with. The county judge will come out and read the proclamation and we will have a few groups there for entertainment, we are hopeful the school mariachi band can come, the folklorico dance group, and others. We are still working to confirm.”

There will also be a group doing free haircuts at the event.
