U.S. Congressional Candidate Tony Gonzales takes credit for federal funds used to build New U.C. Emergency Management and Operations Center

In a telephone town hall meeting held Thursday evening, March 14th, U.S. Congressman and Candidate Tony Gonzales spoke to an unknown number of callers in a virtual town hall event. The Uvalde Hesperian received a call from the Gonzales Campaign inviting participation in the virtual tele-town hall. The phone number for the tele-town hall was 210-806-9920.

During the event, Gonzales talked about a number of  local projects he had helped secure federal funds for towns within his Congressional District 23. Among several projects he mentioned, Gonzales took credit for federal funds used to build the new Uvalde County Emerency Management and Operations Center.

Several callers were offered an opportunity to ask Gonzales about different issues. One caller asked Gonzales about veterans medical care and voiced a concern about migrants getting medical care over U.S. Veterans.

Before the call ended, Gonzales said another tele-town hall would be held in two weeks.

Tony Gonzales failed to secure the win for the 23 US Congressional seat in the March 5th primaries and he faces Republican challenger Brandon Herrera in the Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 Primary Runoff election.
