Uvalde mom, Kimberly Rodriguez posted on her Facebook page a report of being stalked by two men while shopping at the Uvalde Walmart this past weekend.
Her post reads:
***Uvalde WalMart***
While shopping today we noticed 2 men in the store, didn’t think anything of it and I am horrible about checking my surroundings. (I just want to get in and out)
My baby needed a diaper change so I sent my 2 oldest out to get the diaper bag from the car. Went back to the family bathroom and changed her.. walking out saw 1 of the men there and he went into the men’s bathroom (again didn’t think anything of it) Go to the toy section, same man from the bathroom is circling the area, no kids not even looking at toys.
When one of the girls says mom that man has had his eyes locked on the baby the entire time. As soon as I looked at him he turned the corner and was gone.
Quickly we decided to leave the toy area when the other man ends up behind us and the 1st at the end of the isle. Immediately went to the front of the store by the registers and called my dad and Danny.
As soon as my dad got there we went to grab 1 last item in the makeup section. I’m assuming these men still thought it was just us girls and they also went into the makeup (at this point I was now 100% sure they were following us) (what would these 2 men be doing in the makeup section) as soon as they saw my dad they immediately turned around, never even fully went in. If you know my dad then you know.. he went after the men and confronted them about following us.. all they could say was that they were sorry. Never denied it, that tells me alot. My dad and Danny walked us out to the car and come to find out these men were also just 2 cars away from us on the opposite side of the isle (back to back)
My mind is everywhere not knowing what they’re intentions were, what could have happened, and how long these men had been following us.
We did report it to Walmart management and they too were already receiving reports of these suspicious men. WE WERE NOT THE ONLY ONES!
Parents please keep your children close, I never thought I would have this experience in my own small town. Be aware of your surroundings.
