Satterfield & Pontikes Construction will begin onsite work this month

Press Release from the Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation

– Satterfield & Pontikes Construction will begin onsite work this month
UVALDE, TX (February 12, 2024) – Onsite construction work of the new elementary school in Uvalde CISD is slated to begin this next month after the board of directors of the Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation unanimously voted to award the construction bid to the Satterfield & Pontikes Construction Company.
The Foundation held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new school in late October 2023. Construction was delayed as the Foundation negotiated with Joeris General Contractors and Satterfield & Pontikes to ensure construction costs remained within budget.
“We remain grateful to Joeris for the support they have provided for our project and toward the new school,” said Tim Miller, Executive Director of the Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation. “We are ecstatic to begin working with Satterfield & Pontikes. They have already demonstrated great commitment to the construction of the new school. We are eager to see equipment arriving and construction beginning.”
Construction is expected to take 18 months to complete. The Foundation anticipates completing the school during the fall semester of the 2025-26 academic year.
The Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation is continuing a campaign to raise the remaining $20.3 million that is needed to complete the new elementary school on schedule. This guy has nothing better to do in the county but take up others’ time on news that does not matter or directly impact the community. Just a lot of yap, yap, yap, blah blah blah.
