Several Republican Primary candidates gathered Friday morning at the Lost Maples Cafe in Utopia to meet and talk with voters.
Candidates attending the event included Republican Candidate Don McLaughlin who is running for the Texas House of Representatives District 80 seat, Freddy Mares who is running for Uvalde County Sheriff, Pierson Ray who is running for Uvalde County Commissioner Precinct 3 precinct and Rhonda Vigil who is running for the Uvalde County Republican Chair.
Several Utopia residents were seen talking with the respective candidates about 10:30 AM.
The Uvalde Hesperian will attend any campaign gathering regardless of party affiliation,
