El Progreso Memorial Library’s Music on Main featured songs about the moon and Halloween

 About 5o people gathered under the El Progreso Memorial Library’s rotunda to listen to local artists sing and perform live music as part of its Music on Main series organized by Toni Hull. 

Brenda Carter was the emcee of the concert held on the evening of Saturday, October 28th. The Uvalde Beach Boys opened the show with the 1961 Marcels’ hit, Blue Moon and later sung the finale song, The Monster Mash released in 1061 by Bobby “Boris” Pickett.

 The musical event also featured a violin duel  (Dueling Violins) performed by Nathan LaFrenz and Vince DiPiazza. 

The event was free with a $25 suggested donation to benefit the library.
