10-Year-Old Rocksprings runaway found Wednesday by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the U.S. Border Patrol

  A 10-year-old boy was found alive a little bit wet Thursday, September 27th by the Edwards County Sheriff’s Office according to information obtained by Sarita Whitwell, reporting on behalf of the Uvalde Hesperian.

According to a source close to the story, the juvenile may have run away from home before. 

   The Edwards County Sheriff’s Department  posted the following on its Facebook Page Tuesday, September 26th:

   “UPDATE: The Edwards County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone that called in on the 10 year old runaway.

He has been located safe (a little wet) and has been taken into custody. Hopefully this young man will now be able to get the help he needs.”

On Tuesday, September 26th, the Edwards County Sheriff’s Office posted the following on its Facebook page:

   “The child has still not been located and ran from a U.S. Border Patrol helicopter and Edwards County Sheriff’s Deputies earlier today. He has also broken into a residence where a firearm is now missing.

The Edwards County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating a 10 year old boy that has run away from his residence on HWY 377 south of Rocksprings.

   The boy has been gone since approximately 3:10 P.M. At this time law Enforcement is responding to the area to begin searching. He was last seen wearing khaki shorts and blue shoes. If seen contact the Edwards County Sheriff’s Office 830-683-4104.”
