Matt Keyser from Michigan, originally from Floresville, Texas met up with 12 of his high school friends in Concan this past weekend for their annual Fantasy Football meet-up that has been getting together in August for the past 29 years to select players for their annual Fantasy Football weekend. According to Keyser, this year’s gathering was the first time they met up in Concan.
In addition to renting a house and drafting Fantasy Football players, the group also met up to play a round of golf at Frio Valley Ranch Golf Course on Friday and Saturday, August 25th and 26th.
Sometime that afternoon, word quickly spread to the Frio Valley Ranch staff that a golfer made a hole in one Hole 5 which is a 3-par hole.
When Keyser’s ball was seen landing in the hole from the white tee-box, 154 yards from the flag, he said, “I think everyone on the golf course heard us because we were so loud. (There was) Definitely excitement and lots of high-fives as we had multiple groups out there.
When asked what club or iron he used for the drive, he said he used a 9 iron. As for as the type of golf bal he used, he said, ” I only use Bridgestone.”
He went on to say, “Also, when someone hits the hole in one they have to buy drinks in the clubhouse All my friends met there after the golf round and we had a few rounds of drinks totaling a large bar tab. Best money ever spent.”
