Three new Uvalde Police Department officers were sworn in at the Tuesday, August 8th Uvalde City Council meeting

Three officers were sworn in at the Tuesday, August 8th Uvalde City Council Meeting. The three officers participated in an oath of office ceremony followed by the pinning of their new Uvalde Police Department badges onto their respective uniforms. The Three officers hired by the Uvalde Police Department are Anna De La Torre, Felipe Zanora and Miles Culver.

De La Torre was born in Pearsall and Zamora, born in San Antonio, had both been previously employed by the Dilley Police Department. Culver, who was born in El Paso graduated from SWTJC Law Enforcement Academy and had recently graduated from the Police Academy. Culver previously lived in San Antonio, Texas before coming to Uvalde.
