Individuals CAN use certain fireworks in Uvalde County

Not all fireworks are illegal for individuals to use or purchase within Uvalde County.

Uvalde County Judge Bill Michell, the Uvalde County Commissioner’s Court approved an order restricting the sale of certain fireworks.

“The Commissioners Court on May 22 approved an Order restricting the sale and use of certain fireworks in the unincorporated areas of the country.  ‘A person may not sell, detonate, ignite, or in way use fireworks classified as “skyrockets with sticks” or Missiles with fins.’   A person commits an offense if the person knowingly or intentionally violates a prohibition established by this Order.  An offense under this Order is a Class C misdemeanor.
