Uvalde CISD announced today the District has chosen Albert Martinez as the new Director of Perfoming Arts for the 2023-2024 School Year. Martinez brings over 20 year of experience in eduction and comes from Socorro ISD at East Lake High School.
“He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music and will continue to lead the Mariachi programs at Uvalde High School and Morales Junior High. As the Director of Performing Arts, Mr. Martinez will lead a dedicated staff in providing our students with a wide range of opportunities, including marching & concert band, choir, jazz, mariachi, and theater. Please join us in congratulating Mr. Martinez on his well-deserved appointment as Director of Performing Arts,” Anne Marie Espinoza, Uvalde CISD Executive Director of Communications and Marketing said.
