Senator Gutierrez demands Bodycam footage

The Office of State Senator Roland Gutierrez issued the following statement involving the incident between a Texas DPS Officer and a Uvalde CISD parent attempting to check her child out of school.
In the video captured by Brett Cross @BCross052422 and posted on Twitter by Leigh Waldman of KSAT 12, a Texas DPS officer was shown laying hands on Ana Rodriguez.
“A Texas DPS officer at Uvalde’s Flores Elementary was filmed shoving Ana Rodriguez, the mother of one of the victims, Maite Rodriguez. To our knowledge, she was at the school to check out her son, Caleb. The way that these grieving parents have been treated by the people that failed them is totally unfair,” Senator Roland Gutierrez said in a released statement.
“It shows Ana Rodriguez, Maite’s mom, being shoved by a DPS trooper at Flores Elementary. This is the second time she was pushed out of the school. This video shows her trying to check out her son Caleb from school,” Leigh Waldman wrote.
