DEL RIO – THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY (DPS) is investigating a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on March 04, 2023, at approximately 11:22 p.m., on SH-127 approximately 7.1 miles southeast of Concan in Uvalde County.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Toyota RAV 4 sport utility vehicle was traveling southbound on State Highway 127. The Toyota RAV 4 drove across the
northbound lane of travel, and into the improved northbound shoulder, driver glanced off the guard rail. Driver overcorrected to the right-side skid. Driver traveled across all lanes of travel into the southbound bar ditch initiating a rollover and struck a tree and fence. Driver of the 2017 Toyota RAV 4 was ejected from her vehicle. The 2017 Toyota came to rest upside-down facing north. Due to injuries sustained the
driver of the Toyota sport utility, Cassandra Lee Ann Siegal, 25 was pronounced deceased on scene. DPS Troopers continue to investigate this fatal crash.
