Local talent brings the Sounds of Love to Music on Main
Music on Main has become a beloved tradition at El Progreso Memorial Library. Valentine’s Day is one of those special occasions where Pianist Toni Hull assembles her musical friends for a special evening of song as part of El Progreso Memorial Library’s Music on Main events.
This year, over 100 people gathered under the library’s rotunda and listened to songs of love and devotion sung by many local talented singers and played on a variety of musical instruments. Music on Main also hosts a special Christmas Concert as part of its Music on Main annual concerts.
Toni K. Hull played the piano accompaniment on several selections. The Valentine’s Day line up included Sara Hensarling Tafolla, Valeri Redus, Linda and Carlos Koehl, The Memories, Karl Gager, Rene Ford, Darrell Zimmerman, Jim Gerrish, Camille Sanders the Uvalde Beach Boys and the Dolce String Quartet on such selections as “I Wish You Love”, “La Paloma”, “Elvira”, “Someone to Watch Over Me”,
“It Had to be You”.
