Leyva received $500 in the fall and is receiving another $500 during this spring semester.
Dr. Ismael Sosa, Jr. was part of our SWTJC family for 45 years. Serving as Dean of Admissions and Student Services from 1968 to 1999, then as President from 1999 until his retirement in 2013. Dr. Sosa passed away on December 15, 2020, at age 75.
The SWTJC Scholarship Committee distributes a scholarship of $500 per semester. The recipient of this scholarship must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours, be in good academic standing while attending SWTJC, and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.
