Uvalde Police Department was not called in by the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Department to assist
The Uvalde Hesperian spoke with Uvalde Police Chief Daniel Rodriguez Tuesday morning. He stated the loose bull incident which occurred on Tuesday January 10th at 2 PM was located on Highway 90 2 to 3 miles east of the Uvalde City Limits and is in the jurisdiction of Uvalde County Sheriff’s Department. The Uvalde Police Department primarily serves the City of Uvalde. He went on to say the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Department can ask for assistance from the Uvalde Police Department in situations located outside of the City Limits, but on this particular incident involving the loose bull, the Uvalde Police Department received no such request.
