Elected officials to be sworn in shortly after Midnight on New Years Day

  County and district wide elected officials will be sworn in tomorrow at approximately 12:01 AM Jan 1st, 2023 in the Uvalde County District Court Chambers on the 2nd floor of the Uvalde County Courthouse.
Newly elected re-elected and unopposed re-elected county and district officials will officially take office after Midnight on New Year’s Day.
   Uvalde County Judge Bill Mitchell will be presiding over the ceremonies with Notary public Helly Moncada will administer the oath of office to Uvalde County Judge Mitchell. Mitchell will then administer oaths of office to the other elected officials.
  Newly elected officials include Donna Williams as the next Uvalde County Clerk and Cynthia Casburn as Justice of the Peace Precinct 2.
Unopposed candidates reelected include Joni Doersam as Uvalde County Treasurer and Christina Ovalle as Uvalde County District Clerk.
  Uvalde County Commissioners to be sworn in include Mariano Pargas and Ronald Ronnie Garza.
JP elected officials to be sworn in include Steven Kennedy, Ernest Moore and Elalio “Lalo” Diaz.
