Heart of Jusstice Winter Toy Drive distributes toys at Uvalde Memorial Park Saturday December 17th, 2022

  After several weeks of collecting toys, the Heart of Jusstice held its first big event, The Heart of Jusstice Toy Drive at Uvalde Memorial Park this past Saturday, December 17th from Noon until 6 PM  at Uvalde Memorial Park. The event included food and drinks. activities such as a limbo challenge and a hula hoop competition. A variety of vendor booths offering scented candles, custom made craft times, chipotle, clothing, barbeque brisket and more. A big stack of toys assembled at the event were given away that day to local families. The event also included pictures with Santa Clause.

  The Heart of Jusstice a pending 501C3 organization was founded in 2022 in honor of Jusstice Morales by Matthew Narvaez after his fiancé Jusstice Morales passed away in October 0f 2021.

  In an interview by Robert Miguel of Uvalderadio.net Alexis Guerra, the secretary for the organization, Gurerra said, “We assist all families and try to bring the community together; those who are in need of home essentials, or school essentials. We also try to help with temporary financial assistance. The inspiration behind all of that is to help the community and bring them together.”

  According to the organization’s website: “Heart of Jusstice originated from empathetic thoughts and conversations of family and community within the loving bond between Matthew Narvaez and Jusstice Morales. With that inspiration, Matthew carried out and created Heart of Jusstice, in her name, as a nonprofit organization that focuses its humanitarian endeavors on assisting all children and families in need of home essentials, school essentials, and temporary financial assistance through volunteer services for impoverished communities. Heart of Jusstice aims to strengthen bonds between family, friends, and neighbors through joint care and effort in community services.”
