State Senator Roland Gutierrez to testify during congressional hearing on the Uvalde shooting

Thursday, December 15 at 10:00am EST / 9:00am CST

Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, State Senator Roland Gutierrez will testify in front of the United States House Committee on the Judiciary regarding the Robb Elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. In the nearly seven months since the shooting, Gutierrez has remained a vocal critic of both the failed law enforcement response to the shooting and the extreme Texas gun laws that make mass shootings possible. He continues to advocate for transparency, truth, and accountability for all those responsible as the community continues to grieve.

Thursday’s hearing will provide survivors, victims’ families, and local officials the opportunity to make their case for common sense gun reforms in a hearing in front of elected leaders and the public, which Texas’s closed-door investigations denied them in the aftermath of the shooting.
