Texas Gubernatorial Candidate Beto O’Rourke makes campaign stop in Uvalde Wednesday Evening 11-02-22

Crowd of supporters and media assemble in front of the Civic Center to hear Democratic Candidate for Governor Beto O’Rourke speak

A small crowd of about 50 people with news media as well as state and local political candidates came out to see Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke speak Wednesday Afternoon, November 2nd outside of the Ssgt. Willie de Leon Civic Center. Campaign coordinators handed out yard signs and T Shirts before and after O’Rourke spoke.

Several family members of the Robb 21 students and teachers including Irma Garcia’s sister, Velma Lisa Duran as well as Uziyah Garcia’s  Parents Brett and Nikki Cross and Alexander “Lexi” Rubio ‘s mother Kimberly Rubio were in attendance at O’Rourke’s campaign stop.

Texas Senator Roland Gutierrez was seen speaking to several O’Rourke supporters as well as Democratic Candidate John Lira who is running for the US Congressional District 23 seat against Republican Tony Gonzales.

O’Rourke was accompanied by his wife Amy O’Rourke.

Following the campaign stop which lasted for about 30 minutes, Beto O’Rourke stated he was planning on attending the Dios de Las Muertas event on the Uvalde Downtown Plaza.
