At Tuesday night’s Uvalde City Council Meeting, Diana Olvedo-Karau addressed the council with a request by one of the family members to establish a memorial for their child at the Jardin de los Heroes Park.
A discussion followed by council members.
Councilman Chip King said,, “We (the city) are overwhelmed.” (referring to requests for memorials on City property.)
Dianna Olvedo Karau speaks about the request and is open to it being part of an overall discussion and plans for a larger memorial.
King agrees with comments made by Mayor Don McLaughlin that taking it slow would help.
