The Spurs paid a special visit Saturday to Uvalde High School during the team’s pre-season
According to a KENS5 article “Coach Gregg Popovich, staff and the players (decked out in their full Spurs uniforms) proved there are things bigger than basketball as players lifted children to basketball rims for dunks with games, prizes, food and more provided to those who were in attendance.”

Before the San Antonio Spurs season opener, the entire organization made the trip to Uvalde to spread joy, love, and lots of smiles. The event took place today at the Uvalde High School complete with food and drinks booths, as well as plenty of opportunities to make baskets for prizes. By far, the most heartwarming part of this was watching Uvalde’s children shoot baskets with the Spurs. What a pleasure to meet the Coyote, Manu Ginobili, and Greg Popovich. Thank you San Antonio Spurs for the time it is appreciated.
