Donation through PTO to fund New Playgrounds to be built at Uvalde and Flores Elementary Schools

Playground equipment donated by Kompan via Uvalde PTO; North Park Subaru and North Park Subaru at Dominion donates $10,000 to cover installation costs

Anne Marie Espinoza the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing  for Uvalde CISD presented several donations given to the school district for several new projects to the board members  Monday evening during the Uvalde CISD School board meeting.

One of several donations was new playground equipment donated to the Uvalde Parent Teacher Organization or PTO. The PTO then presented the donation to the school board, The donation was recognized and accepted by board members, Uvalde (Benson School) and Flores Elementary schools.

According to the company’s website, ” KOMPAN specializes in designing school play spaces that advance children’s social and physical skills. Our innovative playground equipment allows for age-appropriate play that helps improve motor skills, maintain overall conditioning, and develop bone density and strength. School playgrounds are meticulously planned to support free and guided play that can also be utilized as an educational tool for teachers. During the design process, we ensure that all playground equipment is ADA compliant, and fosters an atmosphere of inclusiveness.”

The donated equipment according to Espinoza is valued at $161,560. She also stated the equipment was carefully selected for age appropriateness and complies with Americans with Disabilities Act or ADA specifications.

A separate donation was also recognized by the board pertaining to the new playground equipment’s installation. North Park Subaru and North Park Subaru at Dominion is donating $10,000 to be applied to the installation of the new playground equipment. According to Espinoza a company has offered to install the playground equipment at a reduced cost. This donation would cover freight, labor and materials associated with the playgrounds.

I found this. So what was that BS they put out? I’m going to email them and request their tax forms. I have to give them 30 days to respond. It’s required by law they must comply since it’s a public charity.
