Knippa ISD on high alert following notification of threat by a parent

Knippa ISD: Report of a threat received Monday September 5th by the school administrators

Knippa ISD has reported a vague threat received by a parent according to a statement issued by Knippa ISD school administrators on their district’s website and Facebook page.

The following statement was published Monday, September 5th, 2022:

  “Parents,

We received word from a parent contacted by another parent about a threat from a student. No other information was provided, no details, no name, no phone number, no specifics. Nothing was reported via our reporting apps as well. We investigated on our end as did local law enforcement. The report remains unsubstantiated at this time.

Classes will resume as normal tomorrow. We will continue to keep a watchful eye on our students, staff and campus and remain on high alert. Two deputies are on campus daily and will be actively monitoring throughout the day.

Parents, if your child shares information with you please notify administration immediately.

Sincerely,

Elda Alejandro”

Update: when contacted by the Uvalde Hesperian, Sheriff Ruben Nolasco said,” We’re working on this case as we speak.”
