Tina Ann Quintanilla’s daughter was in a classroom at Robb Elementary School on the day of the school shooting massacre.
Since that dark day, Quintanilla has attended numerous school board meetings, including those of the Uvalde CISD School Board, Uvalde City Council and Uvalde Commissioner’s Court. She spoke many times advocating for change and reform.
At Monday night’s school board meeting, she went up to the microphone and addressed Hal Harrell and the school board on behalf of Uvalde for Gun Safety. In her address, she read a letter drafted to Randy Klein , the owner of Oasis Outback at a local outdoor store which sells guns and was reported to have been the source of the AE-15 rifle that the shooter purchased and used in the deadly school massacre.
Following her speech, she handed a copy of the letter to Harrell who later signed the letter.
