Fleeing suspects fire at law enforcement prior to capture
Friday, morning, May 13th, approximately the Uvalde County Sheriff’s Department posted two posts on Facebook regarding an active pursuit of a vehicle with armed suspects.
The post read:
“Hwy. 55 N./F.M. 1403 temporarily shutdown Vehicle pursuit/ driver refusing to cooperate Stay clear of area please “
Within an hour after this post, the following update was posted:
“Update on Hwy. 55/ F.M. 1403 After a brief struggle, two individuals have been arrested. Reports indicate the operator of the vehicle was discharging a weapon toward officers during the pursuit. No injuries were reported, an AK-47 and a pistol were located next to the operator.”
