Uvalde voters cast their votes on City Council races, City of Uvalde Proposition 1 and also voted on three Uvalde CISD board member positions in addition to State of Texas Propositions 1 and 2.
For City of Uvalde Council Member District 1, Everardo “Lalo” Zamora received a total of 61 votes (53.98% ) to Santa Roque Perez’s 52 votes (46.02%)
For City of Uvalde Council Member, District 3, Pedro “Pete” Arredondo received a total of 126 votes or 69.23% of the vote with Beco Diaz receiving 36 votes (19.78%); Otillo Carranza, Jr. receiving 12 votes (6.59%) and Phillip Hanna receiving 8 votes (4.40%)
City of Uvalde Council Member District 5 was on the ballot with Ernest W. King running unopposed.
Voters approved City of Uvalde Proposition 1 with 668 votes ( 76.54% ) in favor and 161 votes (23.46%) against. The proposition amended the City Charter of the City
of Uvalde to change the date of the general election of the city council from the first Saturday in May to the national Election Day.
Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District Board Member East Zone, voter could choose none, one or two candidates out of a field of five candidates. JJ Suarez received the most votes with 412 votes (33.58%) followed by Anabel Rocha White with 290 votes (23.63%) with Ann Sanford receiving 178 votes (14.51%); Edward Trevino receiving 176 votes (14.34%) and Elissa Gonzales receiving 171 votes (13.94%) Uvalde CISD votes are not official until the school board votes to approve the election results at their next board meeting.
