The Uvalde Commissioners Court approved a request to consolidate polling precincts within the City of Uvalde for the May 7th, 2022 election. According to Elections Administrator Melissa Jones Bradham who spoke to the county commissioners on this agenda item, the polling precincts within the City of Uvalde will be consolidated to the SSGT. Willie de Leon Civic Center for the upcoming election.
Bradham stated polling places outside the Uvalde City limits will not be affected by this decision and will remain the same. The upcoming May 7th, 2022 elections will include on the ballot two Texas State Constitutional Amendments approved by the Texas State Legislature in a special session that did not make the primary elections held on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022.
Additionally, the May 7th ballot will also include local city council and school board races and a City of Uvalde Proposition for eligible voters residing within respective voting districts.
